Sarah Robins Counselling and Hypnotherapy

Health & Therapy,Relaxation & Wellbeing

I am a fully qualified, insured and enhanced DBS approved Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working in Private Practice.  I am registered with the BACP and Accredited with the National Counselling Society. My Bios appear on both sites and can give you a more in-depth impression of who I am and what I do.

In brief, my clients range from children of 5 years of age (where my Hypnotherapy training is really helpful) through adolescence into adulthood. I support people for a range of issues from anxiety, lack of confidence, bereavement, relationship stresses and many more.  I fully understand that seeking Counselling can be incredibly daunting, especially as most Therapists will list similar areas of expertise and experience.

It is a source of great pride to me that most of my clients have come through personal recommendation as this is so important in the type of work I do, and the fact that I now have an increasing number of male clients sends the message that it’s ‘ok not to feel ok’.

I have a special interest in supporting children, particularly in the field of Paediatric Pain and use Play and Art Therapies where appropriate. I help older children and adolescents to cope with the mounting pressures of social media and ‘fitting in’.

I see couples who are experiencing difficulties, and have expertise in offering interventions to help with conflicts in parenting styles.

I am trained in a number of therapy models, but as an Integrative Counsellor, my client base is pretty broad.

To any potential clients, I would simply encourage you to reach out. Just talking to some-one can be invaluable, and as the relationship we develop will be paramount to ensuring the best outcome, I am happy to have a brief chat at no cost before you make any commitments. This is especially important if you are referring a child as both of you need to feel we are a good ‘fit’.

In the years I have been in practice, I still firmly believe in my motto ‘Its good to talk’.
