Community Charity Fund for Brentwood

Not For Profit

A Charitable Incorporated Organisation.

The Community Charity Fund for Brentwood (“CCfB”) is a fledgling local charity, registered as a CIO with the Charity Commission.  The Trust will not only to make grants to individuals  and local & emerging organisations but will also be geared to help and guide people to fulfil their ambitions for self development and service to the community.

Unlike the annual fund-raising regime organised by Brentwood Council (which annually aims to raise and disburse funds to a few local charities chosen by the Mayor), CCfB is independent of the Council and is manned entirely by volunteers.  It is designed as an evergreen charity with disbursements to be made on application by what will likely be much smaller local community interests than would normally be addressed by most other grant making entities.

We aim to build on our resources through fund raising events and donations and are about to launch of our first round of applications.

The reason for wanting to join Chamber is three-fold.

First, to raise awareness of the Charity amongst businesses in Brentwood,  Second to get to know local businesses and to encourage those businesses to join with us in raising funds for disbursement in the town.  Third, to encourage local business people to join with us and become a Trustee.

We are aware of the Chamber through a couple of our current Trustees who are in turn members of Chamber
